at the Bach

This page is NOT about Johann Sebastian Bach.

(Although, to be fair — his music is excellent.)

It is, rather…

A place for family, friends, ideas, and making things.

Inspired by the New Zealand bach — simple, shared, and evolving over time.

What this is

This is a personal home on the internet.

Not a feed.
Not a product.
Not something optimised for clicks.

Just a place to gather:

  • family moments
  • shared experiences
  • ideas and experiments
  • things worth remembering

A place that evolves over time.

Where this comes from

The history of this page goes back to the early days of the internet.

It began as a university homepage, and later lived among the neighbourhoods of early online communities like GeoCities and Apple’s eWorld.

Its original name was THOAH — the house on a hill — the place I grew up.

Over time, it became at the Bach — not where I started, but where I’d rather end up.

Family

Moments, updates and the things that matter most.

Friends

Shared experiences, stories, time together and time to reconnect.

Starlog

A running log of thoughts, progress, and observations.

Skunkworks

Experiments, notes, and things being built.

Media

A visual record – light, places and perspective.

This site isn’t about presenting finished ideas

And to be transparent — it’s just here for me, and for anyone else who might want to visit.

Simple. Practical. Ongoing.
